Continuing with the cat site, do not create a paragraph reading Yummy Bites sells cheap cat food that is the best cheap cat food there is of all the cheap cat food in the world. Although you use the selling keyword cheap cat food multiple times, search engines will know you are trying to fool them. Receiving good results for a few days is not worth being black listed for all time on Google. You're trying to receive good results, but put your visitors first. Would you buy from a company with text like that?

3) Write an accurate description meta tag and do not use keywords that do not relate to your site.

Use the keyword you are marketing within your description meta tag, but, as seen in step 2, design the description tag to be read by a human, yet perform well with search engines. Keep your list of keywords to a concise group of phrases relating to your site.

4) Ensure that all of your pages are accessible by search engines.

Make sure your site has regular HTML anchor tag hyperlinks linking to the different pages, allowing search engines to move from page to page. If your site is designed with only Flash or images, make sure search engines can navigate your site by using ALT tags and regular anchor tags.

5) Provide unique, interesting content.
